General contributions
We're always on the look out for journalistic talent to write for Cyclist No.1, both as guest and regular contributors. In terms of guest contributors, we're looking for one-off narrative pieces on unique experiences like epic rides (see below), challenges or event reports. If you have an interesting idea, please let us know and send some examples of your work to [email protected] before you commit to producing a big article.
Call for submissions - The Epic Ride regular feature
Cyclist No.1 is pleased to announce the launch of a new regular feature: The Epic Ride. In this regular feature, we will tell you about the Epic Rides planned and attempted (and sometimes even finished) by our readers and followers. The first ride in the series will be The Tour de Mont Blanc; a four day self-supported and self-navigated off road adventure from Chamonix all the way round the Mont Blanc range, through Italy and Switzerland back to Chamonix. Expect an inspiring tale of teeth-clenching descents and back-wrecking climbs; but also one with the important details so you can plan your own trip out there this summer!

Epic Rides can be on any type of bike but must be self-planned (i.e. not an organised event) and be longer than 1 day. If you have an Epic Ride you would like to share with other Cyclist No.1 readers, please get in touch ([email protected]). (You don't have to be a brilliant writer to contribute - we will sort out the spelling and grammar!) Additional detail like photos and GPS tracks will be welcomed, as will routes which have some spark of originality, imagination or historical interest.
