2010 Transition Double arrives
The Double is Transition's slopstyle, 4X and dirt full suss bike. Updated for 2010, it aims to be the "cleanest and most solid short travel full suspension bike on the market".
Cleaning up the lines has been done in the form of Transition's custom formed tubeset which is designed specifically to mate with their tapered headtube. Additionally, internal tube gusseting replaces external gussets fore even cleaner lines. Finally, any pocketing on CNC parts has been removed for a slicker look and to aid cleaning and cable routing is internal helping to decultter the look.
Strength is claimed to be improved also by this custom tubeset being mated to the chunky tapered headtube. The chucky square stays are retained but the shock and linkage are now both mounted on the top tube making the Double look like a baby BottleRocket. Travel is changeable between 80mm and 100mm by flipping the travel adjustment chip and the pivot bolts have been updated to mimic the dials on Fox forks.
The Transition Double has already seen success at pro level having taken "Jill Kintner to a first place win at Sea Otter [in dual slalom] and Casey Groves a win at the Ranch Style Slopestyle Jam".
Multiple colourways are offered as is the norm with Transition, options are Lemon Lime Green (apparently a pearlescent-style finish which shifts with the light), Cyan Blue, and a Raw finish with polished CNC parts which we think looks rather natty!
Prices and dates to come shortly!
Update: The Transition Double is priced at £1125 including the Fox RP23.
