2011 Marin Quad DH gets Crankworx debut.
A full on DH rig has been missing form the Marin line for a while now with the Quad XLT taking up mini DH and freeride duties. Marin will be debuting the long awaited 2011 Marin Quad DH at Crankworx later this week.
"After three years of development the Marin Quad DH will officially be hitting the mountain at Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival, August 12th through 15th at Whistler Bike Park, Canada. Spawned from the Quake freeride platform, refined through riders like Shaums March and Jurgen Beneke and tested on mountains from Whistler to Bromont to Diablo, the Quad DH project has been a labor of love, gravity and innovation."
The Marin Quad DH will feature 250mm of rear travel driven via the Quad-link 2.0 system found across the Marin range. The CNC'd linkage will feature the narrow Y-profile link and will feature Marin's usual well-sealed and chunky bearings. The usual hydroformed Marin tubes will be present and coupled with a tapered head tube for a good mix of stiffness and light-weight. Modular dropouts are offered for your axle of choice and the frame will come in two sizes.
Price, sizes and full spec will be announced later.
