TweetAre you the Next Big Thing in cycling?
Enter the For Goodness Shakes competition to win a year’s sponsorship.
At Cyclist No.1 we are really impressed with ‘Bring on Tomorrow Foundation’, which is a sporting legacy initiative established by For Goodness Shakes in partnership with SportsAid. The Foundation helps to fund the development of promising young athletes, nurturing their talent and providing the support they need to become Great Britain’s champions of tomorrow.
There are currently seven young athletes supported by the Bring on Tomorrow Foundation in partnership with SportsAid. To find out about the athletes and how they are getting on, visit the Supported Athletes section of their site. The athletes attend training and development days throughout the year with elite mentors Liam Tancock, Sarah Stevenson and Andy Turner. The mentors impart their knowledge and experience to the sponsored athletes, addressing the challenges that face young athletes competing at the highest level of their sport.
The Foundation is run in partnership with SportsAid who work closely with National Governing Bodies to ensure that talented young athletes that require help, get it when they need it most. SportsAid currently provide around 3000 awards to aspiring young athletes each year. SportsAid is also responsible for the Government backed Talented Athletes Scholarship Scheme (TASS), helping gifted young sportspeople balance academic life and performance sport.
For Goodness Shakes are ‘supporting Tomorrow’s athletes Today’ by making a yearly donation to athletes within the Bring on Tomorrow Foundation, providing them with the support they need to achieve their dreams and develop into world class athletes. And they’ve launched a competition to win ‘The Final Place’ in the Foundation, with the ultimate prize of a Year’s sponsorship with FGS! This is open to all athletes aged 16-23 from any sport. All the information about the competition is on their website and they are hoping to get as many entries as possible. If you know some aspiring athletes who would be interested, or are interested yourself, why not direct them to the website?
